Subject: Walls

2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (NKJV)
12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.

1. We are not having this time of prayer so that we can tell you who to vote for…that is your choice.
2. We are trying to convince you to vote and to let your voice be heard thru the ballot box.
3. We want you to vote and to vote for the candidates and platforms who are the closest to biblical values.
4. I hope we have the assurance that God hears our prayer and that He will answer when we pray.
5. God’s eyes and ears are open to the prayer being made here tonight.
Walls
1. Let’s look at the biblical precedence in regard to keeping those out of a country or even a city.
--Nehemiah was anointed by God and given permission by the King to go to Jerusalem to rebuild its walls and to secure the gates.
--Obviously, this was done to keep out the enemy who were bent on Jerusalem’s destruction. Those who had broken down the walls and had burned the gates with fire. When Nehemiah received word about Jerusalem.
Nehemiah 1:3 (NKJV)
3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire."
3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire."
--Nehemiah was broken and in distress because Jerusalem and the people there was in such danger from their enemies because of the wall being broken down and the gates destroyed with fire. He went to the King. Why?
--Nehemiah tells the King about Jerusalem and then he makes a request:
Nehemiah 2:5 (NKJV)
5 And I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it."
5 And I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it."
--What is so interesting is that Nehemiah did everything legally…he got permission to travel thru certain lands. He had the letters (proper paper work) to be where he was and to be doing what he was doing.
--The US has plenty of laws on the books to protect us (not from legal immigration but illegal immigration). Laws are supposed to be upheld by those in authority.
2. Government leaders, walls, and boundaries are there for our protection.
Romans 13:1-5 (NIV)
1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.

--Our laws, our government, our authorities have been placed where they are for our protection and to stop those who are breaking our laws in regard to illegal immigration.
--One candidate wants to uphold these laws while the other wants more and more illegal immigrants to come in without the ability of them being vetted. Probably to get more votes.
--Biblically and legally it is wrong for these illegals to come into our country especially if their intentions are to never assimilate into our culture and to push and promote Sharia Law. Internal destruction will happen!
--Those who come legally have to jump thru so many hoops and wait patiently for the process…why should those who are illegal go to the front of the line and be rewarded with government assistance? Makes no sense!
--God has set up authorities and the sooner we get back to obeying the law and run from lawlessness, the better our country will be.
3. What we should pray for tonight.
Pray for the platform that is pro-life.
Pray for the platform that is pro-biblical marriage.
Pray for the platform that is pro-Israel.
Pray for the platform that is for protection of our country.
