Subject: Issues The Church Must Address

Pro 14:34 (NKJV) 34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.

1. It will be my attempt in this message today not to partisan and not to mention any candidates’ names. My calling is to preach so I will be biblical.

2. There may be some who try to interpret this message as endorsing a certain political party but my thoughts and comments will be, not so much my opinion, but what the Word of God says. 

3. There are some who have tried foolishly to argue for separation of church and state, which this message is not particularly trying to address (suffice to say that it was created to protect the churches) not empower the govt. against Judea Christian values upon which this country was established...our point here is that the Word of God is the standard upon which we are to live our lives and to guide us in areas like voting.

4. My encouragement for you on Nov.5 is to vote for the platform that will do everything in its power to lead us into the values that the Bible declares to be non-negotiable. Not just for the office of the president but every office...every issue. A party platform is essentially a declaration of a party's values and the policy roadmap it intends to follow. 

5. My encouragement is for you to vote for the platform that is for the protection of our country, who are pro-work, who are pro-faith, who are pro-Biblical marriage, who are pro-life, and who are pro-Israel.

6. Do your best to stop looking at people and personalities and to look at platforms (what they believe). 

7. Will they keep us safe? Will they help our economy? Will they defend un-born babies? Will they defend biblical marriage? Will they defend the church? Will they defend Israel?

1. Vote for Platform Who Provides Protection for the United States of America.

2. Vote for the Platform that is Pro-work.

3. Vote for the Platform that is Pro Faith in Jesus Christ and the Church.

4. Vote for the Platform Who is Pro-Biblical Marriage.

–Anyone who tries to re-define God’s formula for marriage should be totally disregarded. God defines marriage as between a man and a woman. The battle is not over!

Gen 2:21‑24 (NKJV)21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 

22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 

23 And Adam said:  "This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man."  

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.  

–Please know it was God who created the institution of marriage and He defined marriage as the relationship between a man and woman...I support the Biblical version of marriage.

--We have in our Constitution and By-Laws here at Life Church that our pastors and our facilities can only be used for Biblical Marriage. 

--This whole gender identity thing breaks my heart for young people who are being deceived. We marry biological males to biological females. The way God created them.

–This sermon is supposed to be scriptural so what does God say about it:

Romans 1:21‑32 (NLT) 21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 

22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 

23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever‑living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. 

24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 

25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 

26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 

27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. 

28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 

29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 

30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 

31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 

32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. 

–It is unnatural for marriage to be anything other than what God created it to be...a man and a woman...not homosexuality or living in adultery (living together) but in a covenant before God. To pro-create!

–You better vote for the platform who will uphold traditional marriage because this issue has the potential of rotting our nation from the inside out.

–We love and reach out to the homosexual like we do the sinner, the drug addict or adulterer but we do not approve of their lifestyle...all are destructive. 

Romans 12:2 (NLT)2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. 

–We need to pray for those bound in that lifestyle and ask God to set them free.

1 Cor 6:9‑11 (NKJV)9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

 

11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 

John 14:15 (NKJV) ¹⁵ "If you love Me, keep My commandments.

5. Vote for the Platform that is Pro-Life!

–Can God be any clearer on the subject of abortion than He is?

Exodus 20:13 (NKJV) 13 "You shall not murder. 

–But, Pastor, who really knows when life begins...when is the baby viable? Again our source of information is the Word of God.

Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."  

 

Psalms 139:13‑16 (NKJV)13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 

15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 

16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 

–But, Pastor Rick, I am pro-choice...if you are a Christian God does not give you that choice...He says “You shall not kill”. Pro-choice people are so intolerant? Really pro-abortion. Heard of birth control?

–There is hardly anything more barbaric than partial birth abortion...when a doctor who takes an oath to preserve life...does this...forgive us Oh, God!

–When a politician votes for PBA or full term abortion he should not be voted for by those who claim to be Christian or moral. You don’t have to be Christian to know it is wrong.

--A man in our church said to me it does not matter about abortion because the babies all go to heaven. What? It does matter because it rots our nation from the inside out.

–If God has written a child’s days in His book no one has the right to interfere...no one!

6. Vote for the Platform that is Pro-Israel.

–Why do you believe we should so vehemently support Israel...Again we go to the Word.

Genesis 12:1‑3 (NKJV) 1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 

2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 

3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." 

–Israel has been and is a great ally to the US...even when our support has been weak at times for them.  It is not hard to pick out those who are anti-Israel.

–God says for us to bless them, to pray for them, and to support them and that is what we will do here at Life Church...vote for those who do.

--If you are prepared for the US to be cursed and you are prepared for the consequences of voting for the platform that is anti-Israel, vote for those who are anti-Semitics. 

--I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 

--I have not mentioned a candidate or a political party but the Word of God has told you how you must vote.

--My encouragement is for you to vote for the platform that is for the protection of our country, who are pro-work, who are pro-faith, who are pro-Biblical marriage, who are pro-life, and who are pro-Israel.

--If the platform you have been voting for has re-defined marriage, killed unborn babies, tried to silence the church, downsized our military, and has thrown Israel under the bus, then, repent. Enough said!
