Subject: Declaring God’s Supreme Greatest Over Satan
by Rick Welborne
–I want to share with declarations that I make every morning during my prayer time along with putting on the full armor of God.
--We declare no weapon formed against us shall prosper! We declare that by His stripes we are healed! We declare that we are more than conquerors! We declare that the prodigals are coming home! We declare 2018 will be our year for miracles, and our year for supernatural, Holy Spirit Book of Acts growth with a new campus in the Villages! We declare the Bible is God’s Word and we will obey it! We declare we are a church for every generation! We declare we are one! We declare that every chain is broken! We declare revival is coming! We declare that we will praise the Lord in the sanctuary and in the mighty heavens! We declare that as long as we have breath, we will praise the Lord!
–These declarations should motivate us to believe God is Who He says He is and that He is greater than any other force on the earth or in the expanse of the universe...Duh...He created it all!
1. We must believe our God is greater!
–God spoke to me a verse that is easy to quote, it has been a favorite of preachers and believers ever since I have been in the Kingdom (since 1974)!
1 John 4:4 (KJV)
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 (NIV)
4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One Who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 John 4:4 (NLT)
4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
Adam Clarke - Commentary and Critical Notes - You are under the influence of the Divine Spirit, and have overcome them—your testimony, proceeding from the Spirit of Christ, has invalidated theirs which has proceeded from the influence of Satan; for greater is the Holy Spirit who is in you, than the spirit which is in the world.
–Somewhere along the way the church may not have believed this by doctrine, but have believed it by practice, that God and Satan are two equal forces opposing one another, and that we are hanging on by the skin of our teeth hoping we will win! Young man in Bastrop…you may be surprised who wins!
–I am here today to tell you that this is heresy and that we should not believe this and we should not live like we believe this...we insult and grieve Holy Spirit.
–If we will go thru whatever life throws at us and if we will go thru the double doors it will be because we come to a revelation of how great God is and how powerful Holy Spirit is.
Ezekiel 3:1012 (NLT)
10 Then he added, “Son of man, let all my words sink deep into your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself.
11 Then go to your people in exile and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says!’ Do this whether they listen to you or not.”
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a loud rumbling sound behind me. (May the glory of the LORD be praised in his place!)
–May the glory, the power, and the greatness of the Lord be praised in this place...Church, He is greater than anything or any situation that you are facing right now! Say it…God is greater! God is greater!
–Someone should jump to their feet and worship the great God...greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world...get it in your spirit...get it in your heart. Get it in your mind! He is greater!
–High five a couple of people and shout He is greater! He is greater and He will take you thru those double doors to a place of multiplication! It has been His will from the beginning!
Genesis 1:27-28 (NKJV)
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
Jeremiah 30:18-20 (NKJV)
18 "Thus says the LORD: 'Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob's tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; The city shall be built upon its own mound, And the palace shall remain according to its own plan.
19 Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as before, And their congregation shall be established before Me; And I will punish all who oppress them.

–Someone needs to leave here today knowing that the Lord is the God of Israel! By the way…He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!
2. Our God Who is greater is our all in all!
–You need to know that He is King of kings, Lord of lords, Savior, Healer, Deliverer!
Isaiah 9:67 (NKJV)
6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
–You need to make a decision that you are hanging with the One Whose Kingdom has no end even forever! By the way, that would include this time we live in and it includes you! Satan’s Kingdom will come to an end:
Revelation 19:1116 (NKJV)
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.
13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
–God is greater...Jesus is greater…Holy Spirit in us is greater!!!
–When will we understand who we are in Christ...He wants us to go thru those double doors and His Word tells us that He is the Door. He is greater! I am the door of the sheep…John 10.
3. Our revelation of Who our great God is will be our victory!
--It was important to Jesus to know His disciples knew Who He was…at one time He asked them…Who do people say that I am? Then, He asked them Who they thought He was? Peter got it right this time:
Matthew 16:13-19 (NKJV)
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"
14 So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

--This portion of scripture is so rich with such revelation about how this God Who is greater can bless us and give us power!
--Because of Peter’s confession of Who Jesus was…"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
listen to the promises from Jesus:
listen to the promises from Jesus:
A. Peter experienced divine revelation about Who Jesus is…don’t we all need that?
B. Peter received the promise of helping Jesus build His church…what a privilege!
C. Peter received the promise of having power over the enemy…hell shall not prevail!
D. Peter received keys with the power to bind and loose…let’s use what Jesus has given us!
--What is so powerful about these promises to Peter was the fact that poor Peter made a lot of bad choices, yet God was still able to use him in all these areas.
--Once Peter was baptized in Holy Spirit power, his life changed forever because he knew Jesus in a dimension he had never known…He knew Jesus was greater.
--Immediately Jesus used Peter to build His Kingdom…three thousand souls were saved and baptized on the Day of Pentecost…obviously Jesus was greater than all of Peter’s mistakes.
--Peter saw such power over the enemy that he saw a little girl raised from the dead and even his shadow was healing the sick as he passed by…I believe Jesus’ power was greater.
--Obviously Peter had found and received the keys to the Kingdom of God from Jesus because God proved He was greater by making Peter into the rock He promised…He can do that for us!
--The Book of Psalms gives us such insight into how to keep or maintain this view of Jesus that He is greater!
Psalm 77:1115 (NKJV)
11 I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
12 I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.
13 Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God?
14 You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples.
15 You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
--I know the greatness of the Lord when I remember His works and His wonders, when I meditate on His works, and when I talk (testify) of His deeds.
--I know the greatness of God when I realize His way is in the sanctuary…what does that mean…the sanctuary is the place more than likely that I will experience greater revelation of Who He is and His plan for me.
Psalm 135:16 (NKJV)
1 Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD; Praise Him, O you servants of the LORD!
2 You who stand in the house of the LORD, In the courts of the house of our God,
3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.
4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.
5 For I know that the LORD is great, And our Lord is above all gods.
6 Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.
--Praise, worship, and singing in the house of the Lord helps us to experience His awesome greatness and reveals to us His will.
Psalm 145:110 (NKJV)
1 I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.
5 I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.
6 Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.
7 They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.
8 The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.
9 The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You.
