Subject: Justice or Supreme Court Justices

2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (NKJV)
12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.

1. We are not having this time of prayer so that we can tell you who to vote for…that is your choice.
2. We are trying to convince you to vote and to let your voice be heard thru the ballot box.
3. We want you to vote and to vote for the candidates and platforms who are the closest to biblical values.
4. I hope we have the assurance that God hears our prayer and that He will answer when we pray.
5. God’s eyes and ears are open to the prayer being made here tonight.
The Choosing of Supreme Court Justices
1. We must ask ourselves as we consider who to vote for, who will choose the right people to sit on the Supreme Court?
--Let me say, first of all, that neither our forefathers nor the constitution ever intended for nine people deciding what the laws of the land should be…they were to interpret and protect the Constitution.
--We, the people were supposed to be the ones who decide what will and will not be the laws of our land but we have been stripped of being a republic.
Republic - a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.
--Of course, the institution has become extremely political and this court is re-defining marriage and upholding the right for people to kill unborn babies.
--The next president will choose justices that will either uphold biblical values or will take us even further away from those values. One candidate has put out the names of the people he would choose…constitutionalist.
--The other candidate will choose those who will continue to push an anti-biblical agenda.
2. What does God’s Word say about justice and choosing the right people to sit in these places of leadership?
Deuteronomy 16:18-19 (NKJV)
18 "You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
19 You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

19 You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.
Isaiah 59:1-9 (NKJV)
1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.
4 No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.
5 They hatch vipers' eggs and weave the spider's web; He who eats of their eggs dies, And from that which is crushed a viper breaks out.
6 Their webs will not become garments, Nor will they cover themselves with their works; Their works are works of iniquity, And the act of violence is in their hands.
7 Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.
9 Therefore justice is far from us, Nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness!

--This is where the United States is at this moment and this is why we must cry out for God to heal our land.
Isaiah 59:14-16 (NKJV)
14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.
15 So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice.
16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.

3. What we must pray for tonight.
Pray that God will place His hand of blessing on the person He has raised up at such a time as this.
Pray that the person who will appoint Supreme Court Justices who will protect the unborn, protect marriage, protect Israel, protect our religious freedom, and our right to bear arms will be elected.
Pray that scales will fall off of people’s eyes so they can see who is truly for justice in our nation.
Pray God will forgive our nation for all the lies, corruption, and injustices done every day.
Pray for revival across our land that will flow from the church house to the White House!
